Dear colleagues,

Our Bioinformatics Workshop will this year take place in Graz on July 3, the day before the 20 year anniversary event of the ZMF Graz, which will take place on July 4. The Center for Medical Research (ZMF) was established in 2004 to provide first class biomedical research infrastructure for both clinicians and basic research scientists working at the Medical University of Graz. Happy birthday, ZMF! The preliminary program is now online: https://bioinformatik.at/workshop2024. Two slots for presentations of research highlights are still available and we also invite you to present posters. Please register for the event, submit talks and posters, and book your accommodation now. Looking forward to meet you soon in Graz!

The BioHackathon Germany is an annual event that brings together life scientists from Germany and around the world. Organised by de.NBI / ELIXIR-DE, it offers an intense week of hacking with over 200 participants (on-site and online) working on diverse and exciting projects. The aim is to produce results that address challenges in bioinformatics and life science research. Scientists from companies are also encouraged to participate and submit project proposals. This year, the BioHackathon Germany takes place from 09-13 December 2024 at the Hotel La Strada in Kassel, with remote access available for those unable to attend in person.
